This week there was 8 divisional rivalries in total making it an exciting week in the league and the action didn't disappoint. There were close victories for the New Orleans Saints, the St Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. How ever there was nothing close in Green Bay as the Packers ran wild over the Minnesota Vikings.

But my highlight of the week was certainly the managerial rivalry of Bill Belichick against Rex Ryan as the New England Patriots paid the New York Jets a visit in an AFC Giants match-up. It was also a special night for Belichick and his star Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady.

New England Patriots Bill Belichick and Tom Brady broke a long standing record on Sunday night after beating the AFC rivals New York Jets 37-16 at the New Meadowlands Stadium.
The pair have now achieved 117 victories which is the most from a coach and quarterback due in the history of the NFL.
Brady threw three touchdown passes including two to second year and impressive tight-end Rob Gronkowski in a convincing victory. The Patriots now have supreme control over the AFC East moving to 6-3.
